…has left the station! And, we’ve got no time to waste!
Indeed, we are full-steam ahead toward a grand opening this summer. Here at Moonshine Lamp, we work with lots of materials in the design and fabrication of our custom light fixtures. We have a wood shop, metal shop and glassworks department. So, naturally, we’re inclined to do a lot of outside-the-box work here at the property we purchased in May of 2021.
As you have read in previous posts, we have done quite the transformation thus far. But, mostly the renovation work was necessary to make this place simply workable for our business operations. Now we’re focusing on the big picture journey that we’ve dreamed about since the inception of Moonshine Lamp. We’ve always wanted to foster community in the form of artist events and workshops, obviously bringing more notoriety and business to our cause, but also in order to teach people how to make cool stuff and of course to make new friends. But we haven’t had the space to do just that – until now!
But, it’s no easy task. We started with a 1.5 acre area that needed a retaining wall, staircase, asphalt, grading and fencing, along with two buildings that needed new roofs, skylights, insulation and heating.
But now, we’re seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. So, take a peek at this little video as an update to the progress we’ve made. There’s still plenty to do, but we’ll keep you posted. And, thanks for watching!
