Hi, I’m Rob Lewbel, the visionary founder behind Moonshine Lamp Company. What began as a weekend project soon blossomed into a diverse lighting company coveted by designers seeking custom lighting solutions for residential and commercial spaces across the globe. My passion lies in modern aesthetics and the creative challenge of repurposing and recycling found objects, such as wooden pieces and glass bottles, into illuminating works of art.

My journey in the realm of lighting spans two decades, primarily as a union-certified lighting technician in the vibrant Southern California movie industry. It was on one of my early assignments as a lighting technician that I was handed a briefcase, a few batteries, and two small low-voltage lights. My task? To orchestrate a setup where, upon opening the briefcase, a burst of golden light would illuminate the faces of the actors in Quentin Tarantino’s iconic film, “Pulp Fiction.” That pivotal moment marked the beginning of an extraordinary adventure in the world of lighting design, and it ignited the spark that eventually led to the creation of Moonshine Lamp Company.
